Engineering Systems Professional

This is a challenging role for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our client in Farnborough on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing general systems engineering solutions to maximise the strategic capabilities of our client's product.
The position involves managing and effectively communicating the system roadmap, collaborating with the wider engineering community, including system architects, and making decisions that balance stakeholder requirements while ensuring projects are run efficiently and profitably.
As a key member of the team, you will actively participate in flight trials and contribute to the development of robust technical solutions on time to meet demanding schedules. Travel may be required for business purposes, so flexibility is essential.
Reporting To: Systems Engineering Manager
Estimated Salary: £45 per hour
Required Skills:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of technologies relevant to UAV design and operation, including secure communications and network architectures.
- Able to perform system-level trade-offs and access sub-system options in terms of system performance, capability, reliability, and implementation within the project schedule and quality level.
- Ability to review acceptance test data and results in the context of assessing compliance with requirements, airworthiness criteria, or fundamental assessment of whether a system or sub-system is fit for purpose.
