Job Title: Fiber Optic Network Specialist

HAMILTON BARNES ASSOCIATES LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optic Network Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our telecommunications team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our network infrastructure.

Salary: $25 per hour (based on industry standards)

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for splicing various types and sizes of fiber optic cable, including single mode, multimode, stranded, and ribbon. You will also analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues related to fiber optic infrastructure. Additionally, you will review, interpret, and work with various maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fusion Splicing Experience: The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of various fusion splicing equipment, including EXFO, Fitel, and Sumitomo.
  • Fiber Optic Cable Types: Familiarity with different types of fiber optic cables, including multi-mode, single-mode, CAT 3, CAT 5, Riser, Plenum, etc.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues related to fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and management.
