Job Summary

Expeditors is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution & Warehouse Operative to support the smooth running of our distribution department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of customer orders, managing inventory, and maintaining excellent relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and input customer orders and distribution accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Run stock reports to check for product availability and generate related paperwork as needed.
  • Perform data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate special shipping requests with the Transportation and Operations Departments.
  • Trace orders and notify customers of any activity concerning their order.
  • Input receipts, putaways, moves, picks, shipments, and cycle counts.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with customers by responding to inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Report customer feedback to management and escalate problems when necessary.
  • Meet compliance to regulations, including internal policies and external government regulations.
  • Meet KPI standards and ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.

Requirements:

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly.
  • Pro-active and strong organizational skills.
  • Good system experience and ability to learn quickly on bespoke in-house systems.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year.
  • Education to GCSE Standard – Maths and English.
  • 2 years related experience and/or training; preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory control and/or distribution operations.
  • Counter-balance Forklift License.
