Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is a leading healthcare provider located next to the Royal Devon and Exeter (RD&E) hospital in Wonford, Exeter. Our state-of-the-art facility boasts 2 theatres, including a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite, as well as two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds.

Job Opportunity: Theatre Scrub Nurse/ODP


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Theatre Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner (ODP) to join our team at Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatres and delivering exceptional patient care.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Prepare operating rooms and equipment for each procedure, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterility
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any concerns to the surgical team
  • Assist with scrubbing, draping, and positioning patients for surgery
  • Participate in theatre turnover and cleaning procedures, ensuring efficient use of time and resources
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, allergies, and medication

Requirements:


To be considered for this role, you must be registered with the relevant governing body (NMC or HPC) and possess post-registration experience as a Theatre Scrub Nurse or ODP. You should demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.


Salary and Benefits:


The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary up to £37,250 per annum, depending on experience, plus a welcome bonus of up to £3,000.
