Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:

HSB Technical Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of field services, including commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and retrofitting of VSD systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and repair faults, including component-level repairs, and reactivating low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) drives, as well as their air- and liquid-cooled ancillary equipment.
  2. Procure spare parts and manage the planning and scheduling of service work.
  3. Perform planned maintenance, overhauls, upgrades, and retrofits of VSD systems.
  4. Commission and bring new and upgraded drive system installations online.
  5. Make modifications to existing drive system installations.
  6. Collaborate closely with the electrical and control systems design team to plan, design, and deliver both new and retrofit solutions for marine propulsion systems, offshore production systems, and offshore construction mission equipment.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in the commissioning, servicing, repair, and retrofitting of LV and MV drives, specifically in marine applications.
  2. Familiarity with VSD systems from major manufacturers, such as ABB, Siemens, Danfoss (Vacon), and GE (Converteam).
  3. A full, clean driving license is essential.
  4. Offshore training (BOSIET) will be provided for offshore assignments.
  5. Willingness to travel internationally at short notice.
