Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Housekeeper in leading the Housekeeping Team and ensuring that standards of cleaning, hygiene, stock control, and staffing are maintained.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the cleaning services within the property, ensuring that all areas are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Deal with suppliers, trade associations, and outsourced partners to ensure that linen, uniform, consumable, and staff costs are within budget.
  • Support the Head Housekeeper on all departmental communications, including reporting and budgeting for the Housekeeping Team.
  • Manage reporting and help with budgeting for the Housekeeping Team, ensuring that all financial aspects are accurately recorded and reported.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or hotel management environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping procedures and practices, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
