A leading innovative company in the renewable energy sector is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects across the UK, with a focus on anaerobic digestion and renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with the Operations team to ensure that all design information is provided in line with project budgets and timescales, promoting innovation and compliance.
- Implement and achieve all project targets for which you are responsible by utilizing operational and support resources at the appropriate time.
- Monitor the change order and variation process, and implement the commercial strategy for the project.
- Ensure an appropriate skill base exists from supplier base to deliver the project effectively, and manage and motivate the site team.
- Develop and regularly review project progress from inception to handover to the Operations Team.
- Develop plans to overcome any stresses, and develop and maintain a specific project risk register to give early warning and to highlight risks and implement corrective plans for mitigation.
- Monitor the achievement of KPIs, and liaise with our supply chain's senior managers and business owners to mitigate issues and improve performance.
- Working with the HSE team, develop and implement the project-specific Quality Plan and monitor compliance.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure the project complies with all appropriate Safety Health and Environmental requirements and fulfill your individual responsibilities.
- Project handover - Verify that commissioning progress and all the appropriate tests have been witnessed by the relevant parties.
- Ensure the draft O&M manuals are issued prior to handover, and As Fitted drawings (or final construction drawings) have been completed and issued.
- Clear all remaining items and achieve zero defects at handover.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards continuous improvement and consistent exceptional internal customer service.
- Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment in ensuring safe environments and practices.
- Consistently demonstrates that only the best is good enough.
- Regularly delivers on promises.
- Develops a rapport with internal customers, business partners, suppliers; ensuring that expectations are met and good communications are in place.

- Uses commercial awareness to optimize the use of resources within the team whilst still achieving agreed tasks and targets.
- Manages changing situations to ensure work programmes are delivered to time and standard.

- Uses personal technical, professional knowledge and experience to resolve problems in the business and/or works with and through others to gain practical, cost-effective solutions.

- Able to plan and organize own activities to ensure timely and effective delivery of objectives.
- Full Driving Licence (ideally clean)
- Excellent IT Skills (intermediate to advance in Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Able to adapt to different ERP Systems including inhouse systems.
- Previous experience of using Microsoft Projects or similar.
- Qualifications: Essential: HNC/Degree in Project Management/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Biochemistry or similar A Level/ Baccalaureate /Scottish Highers - including Math's; Chemistry; Biology.
- Desirable: Master's in chemical engineering/Renewable/Energy or relevant engineering subject
