Project Engineer - Renewable Energy

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join their team in South Ayrshire. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, scoping, management, and monitoring of projects from inception to handover.

The Role:
  • Work closely with Project Engineering Team Leader and Project Managers to scope and design new projects.
  • Implement and monitor strong tender strategies for sourcing contractors and suppliers.
  • Forecast and monitor costs, advising on potential changes to predictions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commercial strategy for projects.
  • Ensure an appropriate skill base to deliver projects while managing and supporting site teams.
  • Monitor project progress from inception to handover.
  • Maintain a risk register to highlight risks, provide early warnings, and implement corrective plans.
  • Work closely with the H&S team to implement specific Quality plans and monitor adherence to these.
  • Prepare specific HSE plans for projects.
  • Verify commissioning progress and ensure appropriate testing is witnessed prior to handover.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement work across sites.
The Person:
  • PRINCE2 or similar qualification (advantageous).
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with different parties involved in projects.
  • Full UK driving license.
