Project Engineer for Renewable Energy

Join a growing international business that prides itself on its company culture and positive atmosphere as a Project Engineer for Renewable Energy. This company specializes in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a large number of sites across Scotland, with plans to expand into other areas of Renewable Energy such as Solar PV and Wind.

The Role:
  1. Work closely with Project Engineering Team Leader & Project Managers to scope/design new projects
  2. Implement and monitor strong tender strategies for sourcing contractors and suppliers
  3. Forecast and monitor costs, advising on potential changes to predictions
  4. Assist in development and implementation of commercial strategy for projects
  5. Ensure appropriate skill base to deliver projects while managing and supporting site team
  6. Monitor project progress from inception to handover
  7. Maintain risk register to highlight risks, give early warning and implement corrective plans
  8. Work closely with H&S team to implement specific Quality plans & to monitor adherence to this
  9. Prepare specific HSE plans for projects
  10. Verify commissioning progress and appropriate testing is witnessed prior to handover
  11. Continuous improvement work across sites
The Person:
  • PRINCE2 or similar qualification (advantageous)
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in similar position
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with different parties involved in projects
  • Full UK driving license
