Job Description

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional results for our clients. As a Project Manager, you'll be part of our Belfast Real Estate team, guiding clients and their professional teams on exciting and iconic projects across Northern Ireland.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead Project Management Commissions, ensuring end-to-end service delivery, often for large or complex projects.
  • Act as the key day-to-day client interface, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Scope:
Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, depending on project complexity. Typically, these projects have a value of up to £40m. However, for advisory services, such as urban regeneration funding, the project size can be significantly larger.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise at a strategic level during project conception, providing guidance on approaches to achieve client objectives.
  • Establish overall project success criteria, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
  • Manage quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Plan and manage project finances.
  • Monitor and advise on project performance, using KPIs to improve results.
  • Manage change control processes.
  • Manage project information flow between the team and client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Produce formal project progress and other reports.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.

Marketing and Business Development:
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Work with Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new work.
  • Attend formal client pitches with Assistant Directors and Directors.
  • Ensure project case studies, photographs, and project CV files are up-to-date.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to improve project management products and services.

Qualifications:
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality project management services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Ideally professionally qualified (MCIOB / APM or similar).
  • Degree or HNC level qualification.
