Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and organized Facilities Operations Coordinator to join our team at Austin Fraser.

  • About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, including managing hard and soft service contracts, supervising contractors, responding to Helpdesk tickets, and performing routine and preventative maintenance.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Managing day-to-day operations to ensure high standards are maintained.
  2. Responding to facility helpdesk tickets efficiently and maintaining high standards.
  3. Performing repairs and maintenance on facility assets and equipment.
  4. Supporting the Health and Safety Team with routine maintenance actions.
  5. Preventative maintenance: proactive in maintaining building assets and lab equipment.
  6. Supervising contractor works and ensuring all necessary H&S paperwork is in place.
  7. Raising and submitting purchase requests for facilities spend items.
  8. Reviewing service contracts to ensure they represent the best value and re-tendering as needed.
  9. Leading smaller-scale projects such as installations and refurbishments.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and previous experience in facilities management.
  • Helpdesk system experience (preferred) and good IT literacy skills.
