Trainee Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Commercial team at Gold Group. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting our team and contributing to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transaction Management: Manage, document, and handle financial and project-related transactions with precision and accuracy.
  • Cost Analysis and Reporting: Analyse project expenses and generate monthly cost reports, including commentary on any discrepancies.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits for inspections to ensure projects are progressing as planned.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders in the construction and professional team, including clients, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Payment Management: Assess completed work and manage payment applications to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Commercial Performance Measurement: Utilise systems and processes to effectively measure commercial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Projections: Assist in generating accurate, up-to-date monthly reports (Cost Value Reconciliations) and projections of final outcomes.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Commercial and Sales teams, along with handling miscellaneous tasks.
Requirements:

No experience is required, but candidates should have a basic understanding of the Quantity Surveyor role, possess strong Excel skills, excellent communication skills, and show a genuine interest in the construction industry. After joining, further training and development opportunities will be provided, including the possibility of pursuing a university degree with sponsorship.
