About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust. As an Upper Limb Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our orthopaedic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat complex upper limb conditions, including hand, wrist, and elbow surgery.
  • Participate in research and audit projects to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of orthopaedic surgery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure best practices.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members.
Requirements
  • FRCS (ORTH) or equivalent qualification.
  • Full registration with the GMC.
  • Recent experience in UK hospital systems and practices.
  • Minimum of six years postgraduate experience, including four years as an orthopaedic trainee.
  • Training in diagnosis and treatment of upper limb conditions.
