Clinical Psychologist

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Adult Learning Disability Clinical Psychology Department is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join their team. This is a permanent Band 8a or Band 7 Development post, offering a fully supported development opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to progress to Band 8a level.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychological input to clients directly and indirectly via consultation and supervision to multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Deliver adapted talking therapies, behavioural and systems-based interventions, and bespoke formulation-driven input.
- Assess and provide specialist input to individuals with complex difficulties.
- Contribute to the development of the Community Learning Disability Team and provide placements for Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in Learning Disability services. The successful candidate will be well-placed to provide a diverse range of service-related activity, including high-quality psychological input, consultation, and supervision.
Person Specification
- Good Honours Degree in Psychology.
- HCPC Registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or its equivalent.
- Clinical Supervision training for Doctoral trainees.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced Training in research design and methodology.
- Significant experience of qualified Clinical Psychology practice.
