Sonographer Trainee

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Ultrasound Department within Radiology to train in Ultrasound and become a sonographer. The successful candidate will undertake a comprehensive training program at a post-graduate level, leading to the successful completion of a post-graduate diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
Main Duties of the JobWe are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, full-time trainee sonographer to train in ultrasound in our busy, friendly ultrasound department. The successful candidate will work in mainly outpatient and community sites undertaking routine scans requested by GPs, and will progress to working in ED ultrasound, inpatient ultrasound, SDEC, portable scans on the ward, including ITU.

Person Specification- BSc / Midwifery equivalent – 2.1 or above
- Registration with HCPC / NMC or UK recognised equivalent
- Ability to liaise with patients effectively
- Minimum of 18 months post qualification in a Clinical Graduate role
