About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing meal preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation, and working closely with our care team to understand individual resident needs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a personalized and wholesome dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Leading our culinary team and creating menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents
  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation in our meal preparation
  • Working closely with our care team to understand individual resident needs
  • Maintaining accurate records of food preparation and service
  • Contributing to the development of new menu ideas and concepts

Requirements

  • Cooking experience, preferably in a similar environment
  • City & Guilds 706 - 1&2, or equivalent (achieved or working towards)
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Supervisory or Line Management experience
  • A caring nature to give everyone a personal approach
  • Proven ability to lead by example, motivate a team and delegate effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona
  • Respect everyone, treating others as you would expect to be treated
  • Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents
