Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary, with an estimated £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a pension contribution of 5%, uniform provided, and DBS check costs paid.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Cook who can lead our culinary team and create menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing meal preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation, and working closely with our care team to understand individual resident needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 706 - 1&2, or equivalent (achieved or working towards)
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Head chef or Head Cook experience with similar environment /surrounding
  • Supervisory or Line Management experience
  • A caring nature to give everyone a personal approach
  • Proven ability to lead by example, motivate a team and delegate effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona
  • Respect everyone, treating others as you would expect to be treated
  • Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents
