Logistics Operations Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Leader to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Operations Managers and Area Managers to drive operational excellence across our Delivery Stations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships and driving process improvements. You will be responsible for analyzing site performance against business objectives, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Manage and develop a team of Operations Managers and Area Managers to drive operational excellence
- Analyze site performance against relevant business objectives and identify areas for improvement
- Design and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer satisfaction
- Work closely with other support teams, including PxT (HR), Finance, Delivery Service Partners (DSP), IT, Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES), and Engineering units
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and achieve company goals
About the Team
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is responsible for handling 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. Our goal is to make the delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for new concepts like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our team is dedicated to finding innovative solutions to overcome industry-wide logistics challenges and reduce our carbon footprint.
Requirements
- A degree in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, production, distribution logistics environments, retail, or grocery in a management role
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
- Experience of working within a complex stakeholder structure and driving process improvements
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
