Senior Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for women and their babies experiencing complex mental health issues during pregnancy and up to the baby being two years of age.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and confidence in working with perinatal partner agencies in networks that extend beyond traditional specialist mental health boundaries. We welcome applications from suitably qualified and registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists and Highly Specialised Psychotherapists.
As a Senior Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, you will work autonomously within professional guidelines to provide psychotherapy services to the Service. You will be responsible for providing highly specialist assessment of service users and planning, implementing, and evaluating highly specialist psychotherapy.
The role involves providing clinical supervision to multidisciplinary colleagues and requires excellent communication skills alongside competence in working with and managing risk in relation to both mother and baby.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for women and their babies experiencing complex mental health issues.
- Working autonomously within professional guidelines to provide psychotherapy services to the Service.
- Providing highly specialist assessment of service users and planning, implementing, and evaluating highly specialist psychotherapy.
- Providing clinical supervision to multidisciplinary colleagues.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered qualification in core mental health/social welfare profession.
- Qualifying level course in Psychotherapy or equivalent at Masters/Doctoral level.
- Registration/Accreditation with the relevant professional/accrediting body for the model of psychotherapy relevant to this post.
- Experience in providing highly specialist assessment and psychotherapy to service users with complex mental health needs.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
