Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Company Secretary to support our in-house legal function at SSQ. This exciting opportunity will involve providing company secretarial services, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and advising on corporate governance best practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company secretarial functions, maintaining statutory records, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Company Secretarial Services: Manage the company secretarial functions, ensuring best-in-class practices and integration within the organization's operations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Statutory Records Management: Oversee the maintenance of statutory records and filings, ensuring timely submissions.
  • Governance Advisory: Advise members and directors on statutory responsibilities and governance issues.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Assistant Company Secretary, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant legislation and support the implementation of new or revised legal requirements.
Requirements
  • Chartered Company Secretary: Proven experience in company secretarial roles and legal entity compliance (circa 6-10+ years experience).
  • In-House Experience: Experience in a professional services or large, complex organizational environment.
  • Strong Relationship-Building Skills: Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organizational and Project Management: Highly organized, proactive, with excellent project and time management skills.
  • Integrity and Professionalism: High levels of discretion and professionalism, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
