About the Role

Cirkle is seeking a seasoned Public Relations Account Director to join our Retail Trade team and support our clients in the execution of trade PR activities. The ideal candidate will have experience and interest in working on retail or on-trade accounts within the food and drink or FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Account Management: Contribute to daily client account work, ensuring seamless execution of trade PR activities, including media relations, content development, research, social media campaigns, and event coordination.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Help prepare for quarterly reviews and PR planning days, ensuring all client and competitive coverage is scanned, reported, and up-to-date.
  • Proposal Development: Draft proposals and ideas for branded initiatives, such as one-on-one briefings or publishing house tours.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Work with Account Assistants to oversee and manage all logistics behind product mail-outs.
  • Creative Ideas: Contribute to creative ideas for pitch briefs and collaborate with the design agency to develop design and content briefs.
Requirements
  • Time Management and Prioritization: Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Industry Knowledge: Possess a genuine passion and interest in the retail trade/on-trade sector.
  • Public Relations Experience: Previous experience in public relations, ideally gained in an agency environment.
  • FMCG/Food & Drink/Retail Trade Audience: Preferable experience working with FMCG/Food & Drink/Retail trade audiences.
  • Communication and Organization: Strong communication, research, and organization skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
