Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Account Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing client accounts, leading strategic planning efforts, and ensuring the successful execution of public relations campaigns. As an Account Director, you will play a crucial role in maintaining client satisfaction, growing client relationships, and managing a team of public relations professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, providing strategic counsel and addressing any concerns or challenges.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive public relations strategies that align with client objectives. Work closely with clients to understand their goals and create tailored campaigns that deliver measurable results.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of account managers and executives, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages creativity and excellence.
  • Campaign Execution: Oversee the implementation of public relations campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve optimal results.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and pursue new business leads. Participate in pitch presentations and contribute to the agency's overall business development efforts.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide clients with regular reports on campaign performance, including metrics, insights, and recommendations for future actions. Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of public relations strategies and inform decision-making.
  • Budget Management: Manage account budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and projects are delivered within financial constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in public relations or communications, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts in an agency setting.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective public relations strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and lead teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and account growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in public relations and media monitoring tools.
