Role Overview

Clarksons PLC is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join our global infrastructure team, delivering exceptional 3rd line support to our network and executing various network projects within tight timeframes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Proactive monitoring of IT systems and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.
  2. Efficient troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues.
  3. Performance testing of business applications, network, and server performance, with the provision of performance statistics and reports, informing strategies for maintaining and improving core infrastructure.
  4. Collaboration with Project Management to execute site deployments/moves.
  5. Adherence to all IT security policies and assistance in enforcing and monitoring of these policies.
  6. Participation in on-call rota and regular weekend network maintenance.
  7. A willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  8. Additional ad-hoc duties as required to meet business needs.

Essential Qualifications
  1. At least 3 years of experience in an IT support/administration role.
  2. Understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and associated protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  3. High capacity for learning.
  4. Hands-on experience working with multiple vendors, including Cisco and Meraki.
  5. Experience working within the Service Now framework.
  6. Knowledge and application of ITIL processes.
  7. Experience in monitoring, investigating, and diagnosing issues.
