Senior Community Physiotherapist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at South Hams Hospital in Kingsbridge. As a Senior Community Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to general inpatients.

About the Role

This full-time or part-time position is ideal for Band 5's looking to specialise or current Band 6's who want to broaden their experience. You will work closely with the existing team to operationally manage the general in-patient ward at South Hams Hospital.

The successful candidate will be joining a well-established therapy team in delivering physiotherapy services to patients as part of the wider multidisciplinary unit. We are looking for someone with a broad range of experience, including post-graduate experience in treating patients within medical and surgical specialties.

Main Responsibilities
  1. To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to general inpatients at South Hams Hospital, Kingsbridge.
  2. To assist Team Leaders in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating the Physiotherapy Service provided to patients within the team on a day-to-day basis.
  3. At times, community/home visits may be required to be undertaken.
  4. Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of physiotherapy students and more junior staff to a graduate standard and involve working with universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets degree level qualification standards.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable post-graduate experience in core rotations: Medical / Surgical / Neurology / Respiratory / Trauma and Orthopaedics / MSK.
  • Demonstrable experience of teaching.
  • Proven evidence of contribution to clinical education / supervision of less experienced staff, students, or assistants.
  • Demonstrable experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proven evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • An awareness of current NHS and Health issues related to rehabilitation.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £38,714 - £56,933 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
