Locum Childcare Lawyer Opportunity

Venn Group's specialist legal team is working with an established Local Authority in the Midlands Region to recruit a Locum Childcare Lawyer. This assignment will be for an initial period of 3-6 months, subject to possible extension, on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases, including all pre-proceedings
  • Advise client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare Law
  • Provide Childcare Public Law advice and undertake all aspects of Care Proceedings work
  • Attend courts and tribunals, undertaking advocacy where required, and represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties
Requirements
  • Recent experience within Public Childcare Law, ideally in a Local Government setting
  • Ability to work remotely with occasional court attendance
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
What We Offer
  • Up to £60 per hour Umbrella rate, dependent on experience
  • Predominantly remote working arrangement
