Childcare Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Childcare Lawyer to join our client, a well-respected local authority in the North West, on a locum basis for 3-6 months with a potential extension.

As a Childcare Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a full caseload of childcare matters, providing advice on public law children's matters, and attending PLO and legal planning meetings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of childcare matters, including care proceedings and pre-proceeding matters
  • Providing advice on all aspects of public law children's matters
  • Drafting documents, including statements and threshold agreements
  • Handling non-accidental injury cases, exclusion orders, and emergency protection orders

The role requires flexibility around attendance, with office and court attendance mandatory. Our client is open to considering applications from candidates with relevant public childcare experience from both public and private sector backgrounds.
