Carrs Billington Agriculture (Sales) Ltd is looking for a talented Management Accountant Professional to join their team at the Carlisle Head Office.

The estimated salary for this role is £34,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves producing accurate and timely management accounts and other management information to support business operations. You will work closely with the Head Management Accountant to develop financial processes and ensure integrity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy while adhering to reporting timescales.
  • Supporting the planning, coordination, and submission of statutory and management reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to streamline processes and maintain integrity.
  • Ensuring compliance with Company and Group policies and procedures, including those related to Safety, Health, and Environmental.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of financial processes and systems, collaborate with external auditors, and adopt an ethos of continuous improvement across all financial processes and controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in finance, ideally with a part-qualified accountant status (CIMA/ACCA). Your skills and qualifications should include:

  • High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office products.
  • Experience of using accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • A flexible approach with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workloads.
