Teaching Opportunity at a Special Needs School

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and motivated educator to join a innovative and exciting school.

The school provides education for approximately 85 pupils who have complex and severe learning needs. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan, and they have a very wide range of abilities within their pupil population.

Each pupil's needs are carefully and individually evaluated, so that within the context of their well-developed and profoundly personalised curriculum, all pupils can aspire to reach exceptional standards.

The school has excellent facilities, including Hydro Therapy, Sensory Room, Soft Play Room, various therapies, and a playground.

This vibrant and inclusive school is looking for an educator who can share their Values; Aspiration, Opportunity, and Achievement.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner (ECTs and mainstream teachers welcome, but you must have QTS)
  • Be responsible for planning and delivering dynamic lessons
  • Aspire to provide learning opportunities for the full range of our pupil's needs
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have oversight of a wide range of aspects of education, including pastoral, preparation for adulthood, and community-based learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, and in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
