We are seeking an experienced Research and Development Engineer to join our team at LINKS RECRUITMENT GROUP. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering, with a focus on developing innovative solutions. Key responsibilities will include designing and testing electronic components and systems, conducting research on emerging technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and test electronic components and systems.
  2. Conduct research on emerging technologies relevant to our product offerings.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise 'Design for Manufacture' processes.
  4. Identify key technology gaps and evaluate potential solutions to address them.
  5. Support the external testing and validation of new products through partnerships with specialist test houses.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in assembling, testing, and repairing electronic prototypes to component level. This will include interpreting complex electronic schematics, soldering down to component level, and crimping of harness assemblies.

The estimated salary for this position is £34,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
