Principal Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen on a permanent basis, offering an estimated salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.

Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintaining technical quality of work according to company procedures.
  • Supporting the development and competency of subordinates.
  • Ensuring effective communication with clients, engineering teams, and company leadership.
  • Managing assigned projects, including workload allocation and delivery to plans.
  • Providing design input into tenders and proposals.
  • Preparing estimates and ensuring compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
Key Requirements
  • Degree qualification in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Chartered with a relevant institution (e.g. ICE, IStructE).
  • Brownfield experience in the offshore sector.
  • Technical competence in concept, FEED, and detailed design of steel structures.
  • Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes, AISC, DNV, etc.).
