Shell is seeking a highly skilled Vessel Performance Analyst to join our Trading & Supply Crude & Product Commercial Freight Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering bottom-line value for our freight trading desks through data analysis and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor real-time consumptions and emissions to identify inefficiencies and optimize fleet performance
  • Develop and enhance existing vessel optimization tools to provide data-driven insights to traders and operators
  • Design and implement platforms and dashboards to visualize fleet performance and emissions data
  • Collaborate with the Vessel Performance Manager to provide support and guidance to freight trading desks on best practices for running time charter fleets
  • Work closely with Freight Operations to support real-time interventions and optimize vessel performance
  • Engage with external service providers to optimize voyage performance and reduce emissions
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice on vessel performance-related matters
  • Identify areas for commercial value addition and value leakage
  • Implement ideas from the Shipping Value team to improve fleet efficiency
  • Support the Vessel Performance Manager in data analysis and presentation for engagements with external parties
  • Act as backup for managing vessel performance claims process
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization skills with commonly available tools
  • Ability to extract and analyze data from multiple sources using analytical tools
  • Self-starter with a keen interest in data analytics and the ability to learn new skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical messages effectively
  • Project and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results
