Job Summary

We are seeking an administrative assistant to join our friendly and professional admin team at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to over 600 staff within the Integrated Therapies and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.

Main Responsibilities

The successful applicant must have excellent IT skills, be able to work independently and within a team, and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. A good working knowledge and experience of all Microsoft office applications, including Outlook, is fundamental to working in this busy environment.

Person Specification

Essential

  • 4 GCSE Grade 4 and above or equivalent, to include Maths and English.
  • NVQ Level 3 - Business Administration or relevant qualification/experience.
  • Clerical experience.
  • Able to work to specific policies and guidelines.
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Understanding of hospital policies.
  • Use of database.
  • Previous NHS experience.
  • Knowledge of Patient/service users Administration System and other hospital systems.
