Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join our team at OCS, a leading facilities management company. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing gatehouse cover, receiving visitors, staff, and the public, and handling customer enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional and polite service to all customers, both staff and visitors.
  • To prepare and issue visitor passes and maintain records in accordance with company procedures.
  • To adhere to all security guidelines for the permission for access to site.
  • To promote and uphold the principles of security in accordance with the policies and directives.
  • To adhere to the company's dress code and wear correct uniform.
  • To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company's health and safety policy and health and safety management plans.
  • To comply with the company's policies, management plans, and procedures.
  • To report and record observations, undertake regular patrols, and be a point of escalation to assist with any incidents.
  • To complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in a security role is required.
  • Ability to work independently and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • Well-presented, punctual, and focused on attention to detail.
  • A Criminal Record Check, employment history, and Counter Terrorism Check.
  • SIA Licence.
