Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Doctor Anaesthetist to join our team at University Hospital Ayr. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthesia and perioperative care for a variety of surgical specialties. This is an excellent opportunity to develop sub-specialty interests, including perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver anaesthesia and perioperative care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures
  • Develop and maintain sub-specialty interests, including perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia
  • Participate in on-call activities, providing anaesthesia for emergency surgeries and input to critical care
  • Collaborate with the anaesthetic department to provide advice and support for critical care patients
  • Contribute to the development of the anaesthetic department, including teaching and mentoring opportunities
