Job Title: Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Acorn Training. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our contracts based in Hanley and covering the East, West Midlands, and North West region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow our customer base.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with new and existing employers, stakeholders, and partners to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Represent Acorn Training at key forums, events, and exhibitions to promote our services and training programs.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities, including lead generation, meetings, and closing sales to grow the value of our contracts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns to promote our services and training programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of business development experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in the private training or education sector, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and educational methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making, with the ability to manage a pipeline of opportunities and track progress.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the training sector.
