Financial Management Specialist

Thorpe Molloy McCulloch Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Financial Management Specialist to join their team in Westhill. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and debtor management. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will contribute to process improvements and gain exposure to a wide range of financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of Financial Reports: Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and providing clear financial explanations and commentary.
- Financial Analysis: Analysing performance variances against budget and forecast, including revenue performance and direct costs.
- Fixed Asset Management: Overseeing fixed asset activity, including additions, disposals, and balance reconciliations.
- Process Improvement: Identifying key issues or problem areas and presenting recommendations to improve financial processes and outcomes.
- Data Provision: Providing financial data and analysis to assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for regional management.
- Aged Debt Review: Supporting the Aged Debt review process, working collaboratively with Sales Teams to minimise debtor days and assist with debt collection activities.
- Payroll and Headcount Reporting: Preparing payroll and headcount reporting, focusing on key metrics and trends.
- Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis: Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis as required by regional and senior management to monitor and drive performance.
