Director of Residential Education

English Study Camps by Wimbledon School of English seeks an experienced Director of Residential Education to lead our Centre Management Team and ensure the smooth operation of our residential summer school.

About the Position

The Director of Residential Education will be responsible for managing the Centre Management Team, including the Student Services & Welfare Manager, Director of Studies, and Social Activities Manager. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with our host school staff and senior managers at Wimbledon School of English.

The Director of Residential Education will also be responsible for public relations, financial management, and quality control. This includes planning and controlling the course budget, handling student pocket money, and ensuring the overall quality of our programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the Centre Management Team, including the Student Services & Welfare Manager, Director of Studies, and Social Activities Manager.
  • Foster strong relationships with our host school staff and senior managers at Wimbledon School of English.
  • Manage public relations, including communications with parents, agents, and sponsors of students on the course, local authorities, and service suppliers.
  • Oversee finances, including planning and controlling the course budget and handling student pocket money.
  • Ensure the overall quality of our programmes.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience in residential summer school management, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role. They will also hold a valid UK work visa and speak fluent English.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, plus benefits including free or subsidised travel, gym membership, and on-site parking. Our camp is located near London, with easy access to transport links.
