We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Reed Engineering. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and facilities to ensure smooth production.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.
  • Engaging in hands-on maintenance tasks, including repairs, preventative maintenance, fitting, assembly, welding, and sheet metalwork.
  • Responding to reactive maintenance needs, attending to breakdowns and unplanned stoppages.
  • Handling various building maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Working under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and Facilities Director to fit parts, fault find, and offer solutions to problems while adhering to the company's preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and following all health and safety guidelines.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Electrical Maintenance Engineer qualification.
  • Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience with networked PC systems and 3-phase power supplies.
  • Strong fitting and assembly skills, including the use of hand tools.
  • Proficiency in welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering, and other jointing processes.
