Job Description

As a Surgical Services Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care to meet patients' needs, in accordance with agreed local/national standards and evidence-based guidelines. You will work closely with the anaesthetic team to prepare patients for major complex surgery, utilizing physical assessment skills and knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to practice.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and continually update your clinical skills, adhere to policies and procedures, and adapt to evidence-based changes to practice. You will also take responsibility for running your own clinic, completing medical history, giving medication advice, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, and acting upon abnormal pathology results.

The successful candidate will possess essential qualifications and experience, including current NMC registration, evidence of CPD, and basic IT skills. A degree and venepuncture and cannulation skills are desirable. Additionally, you should be willing to expand your clinical role, have awareness of current issues in practice, and knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to practice.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement care to meet patients' needs.
  • Work closely with the anaesthetic team to prepare patients for surgery.
  • Develop and update clinical skills in line with Local and National standards.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and adapt to evidence-based changes to practice.
  • Support and provide patient education and health promotion.
Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £33,858 - £43,871 per annum, depending on experience.
