Job Summary:

Concrete Industries Inc is seeking a highly skilled Block Truck Driver to join our team. As a Block Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting concrete block, brick, and other construction materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate boom trucks, flatbed trucks, dump trucks, and truck-mounted forklifts to transport concrete block, brick, and other construction materials.
  • Perform pre and post-trip safety checks on equipment and trucks to ensure safe and operational vehicles.
  • Determine the most effective route to and from delivery sites.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and mileage reports to meet DOT criteria.
  • Assist in loading and cubing of products, and make corrections and adjustments as needed.
  • Strap and secure loads to comply with state, federal, and local laws, and company safety policies.
  • Unload products at delivery sites using boom or mule equipment, or by hand if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Valid NE Commercial Driver's License Class A.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1 year related experience and/or training driving tractor-trailer trucks.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, city directories, road maps, load tickets, and SDS sheets.
