About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Class E driver to join our team at Apetito, the UK's leading supplier of food and catering solutions to care homes, local authorities, and hospitals. As a professional driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our finished frozen food products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road worthiness
  • Comply with drivers' hours, tachographs, and road traffic regulations
  • Drive in a safe and economical manner
  • Act as an ambassador for Apetito, providing excellent customer service
  • Perform minor vehicle service activities, such as cleaning and refueling
  • Ensure the maintenance of a clean vehicle, both internally and externally
  • Deliver and collect vehicles as required, including inspections
  • Participate in a daily debrief process to identify safety, service, and operational improvements
  • Supervise and assist with loading activities at Cross dock sites

About You

We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of full-time Class E driving experience, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of drivers' hours regulations and tachographs. You should also have good operational knowledge of modern commercial vehicles and a good geographical knowledge of the UK. A clean driving license and experience with temperature control transport, multi-drop deliveries, and operating tail lifts and double-deck trailers are desirable.
