About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class C+E driver to join our team at Apetito, a leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors. As a Class C+E driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our frozen food products to our customers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road worthiness and compliance with regulations.
  • Drive in a safe and economical manner, adhering to drivers' hours, tachographs, and road traffic regulations.
  • Act as an ambassador for Apetito, providing excellent customer service and representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Undertake minor vehicle service activities, such as cleaning and refuelling, and maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Deliver and collect vehicles as required, including inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in a daily debrief process to identify safety, service, and operational improvements.
  • Supervise and assist with loading activities at Cross dock sites.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 2-3 years of full-time Class C+E driving experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience.
  • A full Class C+E licence.
  • Good operational knowledge of modern commercial vehicles.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Driver CPC.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Clean driving license.
  • Temperature control transport experience.
  • Experience of multi-drop deliveries.
  • Experience of operating tail lifts and double deck trailers.
  • Experience of working with wheeled delivery equipment.

  • Is flexible and responsive to business needs.
  • Is physically active and able to deal with heavy goods and uneven terrain.
Circumstances

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Drive in different weather conditions.
  • Live within a reasonable travelling distance to the depot.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability in a varied and dynamic role.
