Wayman Learning Trust is a reputable school located in Haringey, North London, with a Good Ofsted rating report. We are currently seeking a proficient Year 6 Teacher to join our team and start in January.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their educational journey. As a Year 6 teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

The successful candidate will teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses. You will also keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastoral care of children in Key Stage 2
  • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Tracking children's progress and reporting to parents

Requirements:

  • A qualified teacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent
  • Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
