Daytime Healthcare are working with a leading National Children's Residential Organisation to find a skilled Youth Justice Support Worker to join their team.

Salary and Working Hours:

  • Full Time - £27,352 per annum, equivalent to 40 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)
  • Part Time - £15,246 pro-rata, equivalent to 23 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)

Shift Patterns:

  • 8pm - 07:30am
  • 9pm - 08:30am

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and care for young people aged 16 to 17 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Collaborate with external agencies and emergency services to safeguard young people, adhering to local authority safeguarding procedures.

Work closely with local authorities to reduce young people's offending behaviour and support them in completing their court orders.

Maintain a trauma-informed environment within the home, promoting a safe and supportive space for young people.

Ideal Candidate:

Hold a relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation, Youth Justice, or Youth Work.

At least 1 year of experience working with young people at risk of custody.

Understanding of the issues facing young people and the ability to cope effectively with challenging behaviour.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
