Service Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our team at Romans Recruitment Group. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of tenders, from £100,000 to £20m.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate tender activities, including attending tender walk arounds, pulling together tender information, documentation, and pricing.
  • Prepare and present proposals and costs to the client's team.
  • Manage the stage-by-stage signoff of information, drawings, and design, while maintaining a weekly meeting/record of progress.
  • Coordinate all building services activities from a spatial awareness perspective and programming/logistical approach.
  • Identify compliant alternatives to specified services that offer cost savings to the client and/or improve programme availability.
  • Monitor and control sub-contractor's accounts, applications, and variations.
  • Produce detailed cost advice to Commercial Managers for incorporation into internal and external financial control documents.
  • Review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) from an initial H&S and technical appraisal point of view.
  • Undertake detailed snagging (defects inspection) of all installed services ensuring quality and technical specification compliance.
  • Produce detailed snagging reports to sub-contractors and oversee the process of clearing all snags and final sign off.
