Audit and Accounts Senior Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our dynamic team at Curtis Recruitment Limited. As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in providing expert audit and accounts services to our clients, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out accounting processes and controls to ensure the accurate production of information and document work performed to ensure appropriate audit trails are maintained.
  • Provide guidance and ensure appropriate accounting practices are adopted in the production of financial information.
  • Provide technical expertise to design technical solutions.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements for limited companies.
  • Prepare partnerships and sole traders accounts.
  • Prepare and file annual returns and PSC confirmation statement to Companies House.
  • Supervise and assist where necessary a team of junior members of staff.
  • Liaison with clients and HMRC.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, dependent on experience.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships, both written communication and conducting face-to-face meetings.
Requirements:
  • Qualified ACA or ACCA, although an exceptional finalist may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Experience in the delivery of external audit and accounting services with exposure to a range of clients in both size and sector.
  • Able to provide an outstanding and professional service to give the client the benefit of exceptional advice and maximum added value.
  • Experience of ProAudit, Sage Accounts Production Advanced, Sage Line 50, Xero is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Takes ownership of assigned tasks and adopts a pro-active approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, use own initiative, organise and prioritise workload.
  • Actively seeks to enhance own expertise and knowledge.
  • Demonstrates drive and commitment to self-development.
  • An adaptable and sociable personality with the ability to confidently communicate at all levels, with clients and colleagues.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, depending upon experience, a good benefits package including life assurance, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, enhanced pension and family private medical cover. The firm operates a hybrid split of three days in the office and two WFH.
