About the Role

The Manchester College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Technician to join our team at our City campus. As a Specialist Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Manchester College Performing Arts Department and The Arden School of Theatre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and operation of theatre equipment and facilities.
  • Provide technical support for live performances and events.
  • Collaborate with theatre staff to ensure smooth production runs.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve theatre operations.
  • Contribute to the development of theatre staff and students.

Requirements

  • Level 2 English & Mathematics.
  • Industry relevant qualification as applicable by specialist function.
  • Experience within the industry and previous experience of working within an education setting.
  • Specialise in theatre lighting. However, must be willing to turn your hand to a number of different skills.
  • First Aid qualification (or be prepared to work towards within first year).
