We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years SEND Practitioner to join our team at Grandir UK. As a SEND Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote High Standards of Quality: Ensure that the nursery environment, resources, and experiences offered to children meet the highest standards.
  • Assume Key Carer Responsibilities: Provide exceptional care and support to designated children, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is prioritized.
  • Deliver Rich and Stimulating Experiences: Plan and implement activities that cater to the age and developmental stage of each child, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Prepare and Support Children's Activities: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging activities that meet the needs of children with SEND.
  • Effective Day-to-Day Management: In the absence of the Team/Room Leader, maintain effective management of the nursery environment, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.
  • Contribute to Early Years Foundation Stage: Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting high-quality childcare and education.
  • Mentor and Support Colleagues: Provide guidance and support to students and unqualified staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
  • Liaise with Parents and Staff: Act as a liaison between parents and staff for children with SEND, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Advise and Support Colleagues: Offer guidance and support to other Nursery Practitioners regarding children with SEND, ensuring that their needs are met and their well-being is prioritized.
  • Individual Educational Plans: Ensure that appropriate Individual Educational Plans are in place for children with SEND, promoting their educational and personal growth.
  • Keep Up-to-Date with Initiatives and Best Practice: Stay informed about the latest initiatives and best practices in SEND, ensuring that the nursery remains at the forefront of providing high-quality care and education.
