Job Title: Monitoring Operations Analyst

This is a full-time office-based role that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate capture of data within the underwriting system of record.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Binding and Endorsement Processing:
    • Enter and maintain accurate data within the underwriting system of record from underwriting slips and endorsements for inwards business across multiple Lines of Business.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including underwriting teams.
    • Support the team initiative of improving the Binding and Endorsement Operational function by reviewing existing processes and creating efficiencies.
    • Manage and resolve Binding and Endorsement Queries promptly and accurately using the Query management tool and regular face-to-face communication with Underwriters and Underwriting teams.
  • Earnings:
    • Liaise with the Actuarial team to ensure that all custom earning patterns are updated in the system of record by each month close.
  • Data Quality:
    • Gain a high level of understanding of each Line of Business and their processes by attending learning sessions and communicating with the underwriters and underwriting assistants.
    • Work closely with outsourced providers to ensure that Data quality and performance targets are met and issues are identified and addressed.
    • Ensure that all identified data quality errors are corrected by the following day, after they are discovered and define and implement corrective actions to prevent errors recurring.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Ensure full understanding of month end procedures and that all deadlines are completed in a timely manner.
    • Review and respond to complex queries received from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Participate in key meetings and lead where required.
    • Take ownership of relevant responsibilities ensuring that all the SLA's are met on time with no exceptions.
    • Fully support both internal and external audits ensuring all action points arising from the audit are completed within given deadlines.
    • Run and manage current and future reporting requirements and identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Work closely and support other Technical Operation teams to achieve team SLAs and objectives.
    • Work with Underwriters and Credit Control team to resolve aged debt and unallocated cash queries.
    • Identify and implement processes, procedures and training to outsourced service providers to improve Data quality.
    Requirements:
    • Demonstrated Operations Experience.
    • A practical understanding of Underwriting systems.
    • Basic competency in MS Office applications: Word and Adobe Standard required.
    • Advanced Outlook and Excel skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to master new concepts quickly and take initiative with own personal development.
    • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and externally across the Company.
    • Must be able to self-lead and work effectively both independently and with teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage accurate thoughtful detail-oriented work within tight deadlines.
