We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Cheltenham outskirts. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the accounting records for a wide range of clients, preparing VAT Returns, and assisting with other accounting work.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for clients using Xero and Hubdoc.
- Prepare and submit VAT Returns in a timely manner.
- Process invoices and receipts from Hubdoc to Xero, ensuring seamless financial management.
- Review and reconcile client Xero ledgers to ensure accuracy.
- Onboard new clients, including compliance checks, due diligence, and software setup.
- Process weekly and monthly payroll records, including pension returns.
- Assist with preparation of personal tax returns.
- Essential experience in a UK-based Accountancy Practice, with at least 1 year of Bookkeeping experience.
- VAT experience is required.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and online accounting software.
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
A competitive salary of up to £28K per annum, plus additional benefits such as onsite parking, company pension, and 25 days holiday entitlement. We value our team members and strive to create a positive work environment.
